What’s it like to be a rising celebrity?

In this episode, Jenny and Sophia chat with Simone Miller, an actor in shows such as CBC Detention Adventures and Run the Burbs. Sophia fell in love with Simone’s debut single, Dry Eyes, that was featured in the CBC Searchlight competition. Sophia just had to know where this teen gets her drive and confidence.

Episode 2 of Spark A Mother Daughter Journey Podcast with Jenny Kierstead and Sophia Rae

Simone shares her key secret’s to being a highly effective teen (time management and purposeful social media usage being a few). She talks about her parents support and how her Mom pushed Simone into acting to help her daughter come out of her shell.
Her cool parents are a huge support system for Simone and she’s now recruiting her younger siblings to act in future music videos.

As for peer pressure and jealousy? She surrounds herself with other big dreamers.
Despite her success, she does struggle sometimes and she helps to shed light on mental health challenges through her social channels.

    Hello Jenny and Sophia

Wanted to let you know that Karen and I shared Spark with our NRHS Girl on Fire group.
We all loved it. On our final day we listened to the podcast. Celebration Day, celebrating our journey together growing and learning and the release of Spark!!
The girls loved Sophia’s views and the connection between mom and daughter.

We are wondering if Sophia would be interested in connecting with our next Girl on Fire group starting in March. We are also open to have mom and daughter chat with us together or separately.

The positive energy and raw feelings and emotions that can be heard through your conversation is empowering!!
We are interested in empowering more young women at NRHS.

We look forward to listening to the rest of the podcasts.
    Simone was great.
Sophia and Simone are both so well spoken for their age. We are very fortunate to have them as future leaders!!🥰

Ruthy, you and Karen are just the best! I’m so inspired by your success that you’re having with the Girl on Fire Programs, its speaks to your ability to authentically lead and I couldn’t be more grateful. Young women need mentors like you and it was evident when I dropped in to your final class via zoom that they all feel a sense of safety and gratitude for the space you’ve both created. So much love, and thanks for sharing our podcast with your teens, I love working collaboratively with you!!
